This cross-sectional study of 86 children (44 healthy, 42 with disabilities) from the Małopolska region of Poland found that 26% had erosive tooth wear, with a significantly higher mean BEWE index in disabled children (2.60 vs. 1.39, p = 0.0003). Consumption of sweetened carbonated beverages (p = 0.0133), sweetened non-carbonated beverages (p = 0.0079), black tea (p = 0.0102), and higher total fluid intake (p = 0.0290) were significantly associated with erosive tooth wear. The findings highlight the need for parental education on dietary habits and oral hygiene, particularly for children with disabilities.
