This cluster-randomized controlled trial in rural Kenya found that a multipronged nutrition intervention (including micronutrient powders, eggs, chlorine, and soap) improved child linear growth modestly, but adherence declined over time. Key factors associated with higher adherence included caregiver training attendance, a 'grandmother effect' (non-maternal caregivers showed higher adherence), and the use of reminders. The findings highlight the importance of interactive training, family engagement, and sustained prompting to maintain adherence in complex nutrition programs.
