This retrospective cohort study of 212 TB patients in Kyangwali Refugee Settlement, Uganda (2016–2017) found that only 66.5% had favorable treatment outcomes, well below the WHO-recommended 85% target. Increasing age was significantly associated with unfavorable outcomes, with patients aged 61–80 years having 6.5 times higher odds of poor outcomes compared to those aged ≤20 years. The findings highlight the need for targeted interventions for older patients and innovative approaches to improve TB treatment success in refugee settings.
