This study of 802 Korean children aged 2–3 years found that exclusive formula feeding was associated with significantly lower dietary variety scores compared to exclusive breastfeeding. Longer breastfeeding duration (≥12 months) was linked to higher consumption of non-salted vegetables plus fruit and total vegetables plus fruit, while early introduction of formula (≤4 months) was associated with lower fruit and non-salted vegetable plus fruit intake. These findings suggest that infant feeding characteristics may shape long-term dietary habits in early childhood.
