This retrospective study of 147 patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma developed a combined model using CT-based radiomics features and clinical factors (sex and tumor thickness) to predict radiotherapy response. The combined model achieved AUCs of 0.78 and 0.79 in training and validation groups, outperforming clinical models alone. The findings suggest that a noninvasive radiomics-based approach may help identify patients likely to benefit from radiotherapy, though dosimetric parameters did not significantly predict treatment response.
