This study developed and internally validated a nomogram to predict depression risk in US adults with hypertension using NHANES data (2007–2018). Eleven predictors were identified, including age, sex, race, education, marital status, poverty-to-income ratio, sleep time, smoking, alcohol use, sedentary time, and heart failure status. The nomogram showed acceptable discrimination (AUC 0.757 in training, 0.724 in validation) and may help clinicians identify hypertensive patients at elevated risk for depression.
