This study evaluates neutralizing antibody responses against emerging Omicron subvariants BF.7, BQ.1.1, and XBB.1 in 67 healthy volunteers with different vaccination and infection histories. Heterologous vaccination (inactivated vaccine followed by mRNA booster) produced significantly higher neutralizing titers against all tested subvariants compared to three doses of homologous inactivated vaccine alone. The findings support using mRNA vaccine boosters in populations where inactivated SARS-CoV-2 vaccines were primarily administered.
