This review identifies 20 recent clinical trials using stem cell preparations for aging conditions, primarily physical frailty and facial skin aging. The leading candidate, Lomecel-B (allogeneic bone marrow MSCs), showed modest but significant improvements in 6-minute walk distance and reduced TNF-alpha in phase II trials. These findings suggest stem cell therapies may offer a novel approach to targeting aging-related decline, though most trials are still early-phase and face challenges in standardization and dosing.
