This study assessed threats to wild edible plants (WEPs) in Turkana County, Kenya, using focus group discussions and field plot surveys across three communities. Climate change, overstocking/overgrazing, and invasive species were the highest-ranked threats, while mitigation of climate change, preservation of local knowledge, and selection/propagation/processing/marketing were top management options. The findings highlight that local perceptions align closely with field observations and that management strategies must account for local socioeconomic and environmental differences.
