This study demonstrates that anaerobic mechanical power outputs (peak and mean power) can be accurately predicted from a standard clinical exercise stress test (GXT) without gas exchange measurements, using features such as exercise time, treadmill speed, and slope. For submaximal GXT at 85% age-predicted HRmax, the model achieved correlations of r = 0.93 and r = 0.92 for peak and mean power, respectively (p < 0.001). These findings suggest that a single GXT can provide information on both aerobic and anaerobic capacities, which is clinically significant for exercise prescription and athlete monitoring without requiring specialized anaerobic testing.
