This case series describes two pediatric patients with refractory autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) who were successfully treated with rituximab, a B-cell depleting monoclonal antibody. Both patients showed marked improvement in liver enzymes and clinical symptoms without adverse events, supporting rituximab as a salvage therapy for children with AIH that does not respond to standard immunosuppression. The findings highlight the role of B cells in AIH and suggest that rituximab may be a valuable treatment option for this difficult-to-treat population.
