This study demonstrates that novel fentanyl analogs (acrylfentanyl, ocfentanyl, furanylfentanyl) dose-dependently impair visual, acoustic, and tactile sensorimotor responses in mice, with effects partially blocked by naloxone. The findings align with human data showing fentanyl impairs psychomotor functions critical for driving, such as eye-hand coordination and reaction time. These results suggest that novel synthetic opioids may significantly impair driving abilities, highlighting the need for increased vigilance in DUID cases.
