This systematic review of 22 studies involving 5,929 women found that nutritional status, particularly high body mass index (BMI), negatively impacts ovarian reserve. Overweight and obese women had significantly lower anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels and antral follicle counts (AFC), indicating diminished ovarian reserve and compromised oocyte quality. The findings highlight the clinical importance of maintaining a healthy BMI to preserve reproductive potential and reduce the need for assisted reproductive technologies.
