This systematic review of 97 studies found that the learning curve for robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) ranges from 10 to 250 cases for operative time, while laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (LRP) requires 40 to 250 cases. Robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) has a learning curve of 4 to 150 cases for warm ischemia time. The review highlights substantial variation in outcome definitions and confounder reporting, and recommends using CUSUM analysis and simulation training to improve patient safety.
