This study used a minimally invasive procedure to induce bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) in female rats, creating an overactive bladder (OAB) model. The model showed increased collagen/smooth muscle ratio, high density of interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs), and frequent telocytes (TCs), with stable changes at 6 and 8 weeks. These morphological findings closely resemble those in human OAB, supporting the model's validity for future research.
