This birth cohort study examined associations between maternal and infant selenium status at delivery and infant growth outcomes up to 2 years of age. It found that higher whole blood selenium in venous cord blood was associated with a small, statistically significant decrease in birth weight and a small decrease in length-for-age z-score over time.
