This preclinical study grew wheat seedlings with and without a Pseudomonad microbiome under normal or drought conditions, then analyzed metal-chelating metabolites in shoots and rhizosphere. Drought increased certain shoot amino acids, while microbial colonization generally reduced rhizosphere metabolites, potentially affecting plant metal bioavailability and pathogen control.
