This qualitative study used cognitive interviews with parents to review and refine survey items for two new questionnaires measuring physical activity, screen time, and sleep in children aged 0–5 years. The central finding was that while general item comprehension was high, interviews revealed potential response errors, such as equating all outdoor time with active play, leading to specific item revisions.
