Systematic evidence map methods were used to search, screen, and inventory mammalian bioassay and epidemiological literature for 345 PFAS identified by the US EPA. More than 13,000 studies were identified, of which 121 mammalian bioassay and 111 epidemiological studies met screening criteria. Epidemiological evidence, available for 12 PFAS, most commonly assessed reproductive, endocrine, developmental, metabolic, cardiovascular, and immune outcomes. Overall, 41 PFAS had evidence across both data streams. No epidemiological and/or mammalian bioassay evidence were identified for most of the PFAS included in the search.
