This case-control study compared serum metal levels in 232 women with unexplained recurrent miscarriage (uRM) and 43 healthy controls. The central result was that higher serum levels of lead and vanadium, and lower levels of calcium and selenium, were associated with increased risk of uRM after adjusting for confounders.
