This one-year prospective cohort study of 1008 community-dwelling Japanese adults aged ≥65 examined the relationship between dietary variety and frailty during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lower dietary variety scores were significantly associated with both higher frailty scores and increased odds of incident frailty after adjusting for confounders.
