This cross-sectional survey of 118 pregnant women in southern California examined how perceptions of pregnancy uplifts and hassles, both traditional and pandemic-related, relate to mental health outcomes. The study found that women who experienced a higher ratio of uplifts to hassles reported better mental health, including more positive feelings and less loneliness and depression/anxiety.
