This retrospective cohort study analyzed 348 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients to assess if pre-radiotherapy serum transferrin (TRF) levels predicted treatment response and survival. It found that patients with higher TRF levels had significantly better radio-sensitivity and overall survival than those with lower levels.
