This narrative review examines how the serine-glycine-one-carbon (SGOC) metabolic pathway supports cancer cell survival and proliferation, making it a potential therapeutic target. The central result is that inhibiting specific SGOC enzymes or restricting dietary serine/glycine can enhance anti-tumor effects in preclinical models.
