This narrative review describes how oxidative stress drives normal age-related anatomical changes and pathologies in the anterior and posterior segments of the human eye. It concludes that therapies targeting oxidative stress could slow the progression of age-related ocular diseases like cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
