A cross-sectional survey of 301 adults with diabetes and/or hypertension in Kenya used the PETS questionnaire to measure treatment burden. The study found that financial expenses, monitoring health, exhaustion, diet, and exercise were the most burdensome domains, with higher burdens among those with lower income, less education, and without health insurance.
