This is a narrative review that identifies and evaluates the wearable light meters and research methods used in human studies exploring the association between light exposure and myopia. The central finding is that there is high variability between the devices and methodological approaches across the reviewed publications, which complicates the synthesis of results and the identification of consistent patterns.
